Project Description: Recently the Oliver Parks and Recreation Society has undergone a weight room expansion project which resulted in the removal of the toddler playground. This was the only toddler oriented playground in the town. Oliver Parks and Recreation hosts many events annually where the park is essential for local families with young children ages 2-5. During these events, families will use this playground while participating in other activities. This need has created a grass roots community initiative bringing together parents to fundraise for the new playground. We are planning for this new playground to be the first fully accessible play space with the addition of sensory play equipment geared towards children with autism.
