Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre held its Empty Bowl Fundraiser Friday evening at Watermark Beach Resort In Osoyoos.

The event was a sell out in advance, with handcrafted bowls prepared by the Osoyoos Potters Club waiting at the front door for patrons. Tickets for the event were $49, which allowed people to keep the ceramic bowl they chose.

Inside, delicious soups prepared by the top chefs from Osoyoos and Oliver wineries and restaurants. And of course, the opportunity to chat with friends.

Everyone was there for a great cause.

Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre is an Oliver and Osoyoos-based, charitable, not-for-profit organization. The Vision of Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre is for a community where all citizens have the opportunity to be healthy, participating community members. The Mission of Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre is to facilitate improvement in the quality of life for individuals, families and the community.
