Hornets open with a draw

Southern Okanagan Secondary School has opened the BC High School Girls Field Hockey Championships in Surrey with a tie game.

Tatum Brogan and Hannah Byron scored for SOSS in a 2-2 draw with Brentwood from Vancouver Island.

Head coach Lesley Magnus says the girls played very well, and she was pleased with what the Hornets accomplished in their opening game at Provincials.

Things won’t be easy later today. Southern Okanagan finds itself up against Crofton House, the top-ranked team heading into the Championships.
