Thanks also to Oliver Volunteer Firemen out last night just off Sumac Street and Rd 5. Amazing to see what is left despite a serious blaze that gutted the inside.

A structure, believed to be an unoccupied home in an orchard, burned in the Oliver area Monday night.

Location: North of Rd 5 west of Sunflower Rd.

Rob Graham, spokesman for the Oliver Fire Department, said the initial call for a structure fire at Road 5 and Sumac Street came in about 9:40 p.m.

“There was significant fire damage, but we got it out quickly, so it wasn’t a total loss,” said Graham.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this point.
