Watch for members of the Oliver Rotary Club on the streets of downtown Oliver Monday morning.
Rotarians will be holding signs such as the one shown here by Mikayla Podmorow, who was a special guest of the Rotary Club this past Tuesday.
Mikayla recently travelled to Ottawa through the Adventures in Citizenship program, which is sponsors by local Rotarians.
Rotary Clubs around the world have fundraised tirelessly for many years for the eradication of Polio, and have helped reduce polio cases by 99.9 per cent worldwide since its first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.
You can find out more by checking out: www.rotary.org/myrotary/en/take-action/end-polio.
And let those Rotarians standing on the corner early on a Monday morning know much you appreciate their hard work.
