Corporal C. Tarasoff
Christina was born and raised on the Lower Mainland. As a Mountie she has served in many detachments but recently served as the head of the Domestic Violence Unit in Richmond.
When the chance came for her young family to move to the interior she jumped at the chance. She has two children and a husband (also a member). They both serve here, live here and love it.
Small town, rural BC offers a different style of policing and Cpl. C. Tarasoff looks forward to settling in, meeting the people and using her experience to fight crime at the same time as enaging the community.
We could say more but let’s leave it at that.
Tarasoff: ” I am impressed at how friendly it is.”
“I also wanted to mention how happy I am to be working with members and detachment staff in Oliver. We really are fortunate to have such a great, hard working group of people here.”
While taking Christina’s picture a number of encounters occurred with citizens on the street, all positive, an indication of how thing work in small towns and villages of BC.
