If you are wondering why the power is out in the south end of Penticton I understand a garbage truck has broken a pole which had a 3 phase transformer bank on it behind Andre’s electronics

This outage would have affected all customers on this circuit including Cherry Lane mall (1,000 customers). The first phase of restoration will be to isolate the lane running behind Tim Hortons (approx 1 HR) and restore power to 99% of the customers

The remaining customers (ie all of the strip mall customers on the W side of Skaha Lake Rd S (N of the Tim Hortons) will be without power for at least 8 hrs as city crews clean up the mess, replace the broken pole and rebuild the transformer bank
