If you’ve been near Penticton Regional Hospital during the last few days, you’ve probably noticed a remarkable change to the city skyline. A 180 ft. crane has been erected on the site, marking another milestone in the project to build a new patient care tower.

Ground was broken on the site in July and work is well underway for this project. The Patient Care Tower will improve access to services and enhance patient care. It will include a new space for outpatient services, 84 inpatient beds in single patient rooms, five operating rooms and space for the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s medical programs. The Patient Care Tower and parkade will open in 2019.
