REGIONAL DISTRICT OF OKANAGAN-SIMILKAMEEN
• RDOS Grant in Aid Policy prohibits any one organization from receiving more than two regional grants in a four-year period. Long-term provisions of funds to non-profit organizations should be determined through the establishment of a service through public assent.
• Okanagan Film Commission has received RDOS funding annually through a Regional Grant in Aid.
• Long-term provisions of funds to non-profit organizations should be determined through the establishment of a service through public assent.
• The scope of the bylaw has been broadened to not limit the expenditure of economic development funds to one organization.
• The annual maximum amount that may be requisitioned for the cost of the service shall not exceed the greater of $35,000 or $0.0020 per $1,000 of assessed value.
• The financial impact for an average household valued at $320,000 would be $0.64.
• Advertised in the Penticton Western News, Similkameen Spotlight, Osoyoos Time, Oliver Chronicle, Summerland Review, Keremeos Review(a requirement of the Local Government Act)

• If you support the adoption of the bylaw, you do not need to do anything.
• If you object to the adoption of the bylaw, sign an Elector Response Form and submit (with original signature) to the RDOS officer before the deadline of October 17, 2016 at 4:30 pm
• If 10% percent (7,089) of the qualified electors object to the adoption of the bylaw, the RDOS Board of Directors cannot adopt the bylaw without going to a referendum.
