
Unofficial WFN Election Results see Roxanne Lindley voted in as Chief
The ballots have received an initial count following Westbank First Nation’s election Thursday evening, and three changes are seen, including a new Chief.
Roxanne Lindley, daughter of WFN’s first Chief, Norman Lindley, received 175 votes for Chief, 34 votes more than Robert Louie, based on unofficial results this evening. Louie had been Chief for 24 years in two periods.
The leaders: Lindley (Chief), Chris Derickson (Councillor), Brian Eli (Councillor), Fernanda Alexander (Councillor) and Thomas Konek (Councillor).
New Council will be sworn in at an Oath of Office meeting next Tuesday to serve a three-year term of office.
