Obituary for the late Darryl Evert Johnson   

August 19, 1950 – September8, 2016  

It is with great sadness that the family of Darryl Evert Johnson announce his passing on September 8, 2016 after a brief but valiant battle with cancer at the age of 66 years.
Predeceased by his father Fred, he is survived by his spouse of 23 years Linda, his mother Mona, sisters Karen (Tom), Julie (Cameron), children Darrah, John (Linda), Erin (Lenny) and Lisa, stepchildren April (Cliff), Veronica, and Natasha (Dale), and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, Darryl will be remembered for his sense of adventure and love of nature.  If there was a dirt road headed off into the unknown, he had to see what where it led, and ended up have many unplanned adventures because of it.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Mark Hamilton and the excellent staff in the acute care unit of the Oliver General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion shown to Darryl in his last days. He could not have received better care.
