SCHOOL TRUSTEE BY-ELECTION – Fall 2016

Public Notice is given to the electors within Electoral Area A of School District No. 53 (Okanagan Similkameen) that nominations for the office of school trustee for the Town of Osoyoos and Regional District Area “A” (one position) for an interim term beginning December 2016 until the 2018 general election will be received by the Chief Election Officer or a designated person from 9:00 am Tuesday, September 20 to 4:00 pm Friday, September 30, 2016.

•Nomination period:  September 20 to September 30, 2016
•Declaration of candidates:  September 30, 2016
•Advance voting day:  October 26, 2016 – location to be announced
•Election day:  November 5, 2016 – Osoyoos Elementary School gymnasium
