So far so good. We rate a moderate to high in the South Okanagan.
Open burning is banned. No ban on campfires or the use of the forests.
In the Oliver Fire Protection District – no campfires or fires of any description allowed.
Rob Graham of the OFD adds the following : Campfire is anything that uses a fuel that can create embers or sparks from the fuel source. Propane campfire/ campstoves are permitted
OFD protection area is from road # 22 to sundial road (South to North) and top of Fairview road to the flat on McKinney Road
