A boil-water notice for Okanagan Falls has been removed.
Okanagan Falls Irrigation District stated homeowner need no longer boil water for consumption.
The notice had been in effect since July 28, with authorities advising residents in its lower district to boil water for any consumption, including drinking, brushing teeth, making ice or food preparation.
“We’ve been on this water advisory thing for a couple of weeks now and that in itself has been more than inconvenient, either boiling the water or having to buy it,” Pamela Dishkin told Castanet last week.
“This is an ongoing problem here and to deal with it we have put in a water filter, a water conditioner and a new water tank.”
Dishkin had submitted a photo of a jar of dirty water that had come from her tap.
