Gloria Jean Lacasse

(1942 -2016)

Surrounded by her family, Gloria Jean Lacasse of Oliver passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the age of 74 years.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Robert Lacasse, Steve Lacasse, and Dawn-Marie Lacasse, and by her grandchildren Dillon, Steve, Jayden, Tyson, Ethan, Erick, Kaylee, Caleb, Anna-Marie, Tia, and Selina. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Melville Lacasse.

Gloria was employed as a psychiatric nurse at Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Her deep concern for others’ welfare continued into her volunteerism. As a foster care provider, she loved to take care of children and teens. Besides serving others, she derived much satisfaction from gardening and baking. Gloria enjoyed her travels to Arizona, Hawaii, Mexico, and Florida.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday August 7 at 11:30 a.m. at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery.

The family would like thank all the people in Gloria’s life who truly loved and cared for her. Thank you for your prayers.
