2 CF 18’s stormed through the area heading west. Low enough to be heard well

Air Force Maj. Robert Frank confirmed CF-18 jets were in the vicinity.

He said the jets would have been on routine training exercises in the area, although he wasn’t aware of any specifics. Those could include altitude or terrain training.

“They are always training. Canada plays an important role in continental air defence,” said Frank.

The jets are based out of CFB Cold Lake.
