Penticton Indian Band Chief Jonathan Kruger (the fisherman) – below with Dale Belvedere SORCO Manager Saturday morning north of Oliver.
The two exchanged gifts – Kruger with 18 salmon from the OK Falls dam (Shuswap raised sockeye) and deceased eagles given to the PIB for headdresses and ceremonial clothing (feathers).
Belvedere says SORCO is looking after two bald eagles that will eat one of those salmon each day. Much appreciated contribution for sure.
