“Potential for localized heavy downpour this afternoon and tonight.
A strong upper low currently over the Coast Mountains will move into the southwestern BC Interior this afternoon, then slowly drift eastward tonight and Friday. As the atmosphere becomes unstable, heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms will spread across the southern BC Interior this afternoon and tonight. Due to the convective nature of these showers, rainfall will be highly variable across these regions. Localized rainfall amounts upwards of 20 mm in a short period are possible.
