Father’s Day

Today, there’s a special message just for dads…Thank you for being there for your family!

Marvelous things occur because of you being a part of your children’s lives.

You are their role model, counselor, teacher and the source of strength that your family needs and enjoys. Your importance in the lives of your children can immediately be seen in their eyes and actions. Your time and involvement with your children creates an influence that can’t be measured – though sometimes we try. Dads have the best opportunity to do that. For example, there is an overwhelming amount of data from social research that tells a pretty impressive story.

For one thing, if you are there and involved, those children are 50% more likely to do well in high school and go on to college. Not only that, but just having you around, being their friend, your children are over 60% less likely to get into trouble or see the inside of a juvenile detention hall.

And what about your precious daughters? Well, if you are not around and involved, your daughters are twice as likely to become sexually involved at a young age and they have a 70% higher chance of getting pregnant outside of marriage. The list of positive things that you bring into your children’s lives is long. It is clear… you make a big difference.
