SUCCESSFUL SHOW & SHOP SOFT OPENING
Wow! What a great way to test our new Beer Shop retail space… throw a party! The first Back Alley Concert of the year was a great success! My Kind of Karma played two awesome sets of their brand of folk-rock reggae, some bright and sunny music to coax the sun out from behind the rain clouds. Leza MacDonald’s beautiful paintings added a splash of colour to our Beer Shop & Social space, which needs it until we get all the final decorations in place. Kaylan from Twisted Hills Craft Cider served up her deliciously fresh ciders, both dry and sweet products available. Stevely from Dubh Glas Distillery was mixing up Noteworthy G&Ts and a Sour Cherry Cocktail with his Virgin Spirits, certainly raising spirits in the back alley.
Our Whisky-Barrel Hoser cask turned out really great, with plenty of character from the wood, a buttery caramel & vanilla oakiness, rounding out the Hoser’s crispness. We filled a few growlers of that, which are available for sale today in the Beer Shop & Social. We’re open now everyday 12pm-8pm, serving up pints, filling growlers, and retailing bottles and merchandise.
For folks that pledged for tickets through our Kickstarter Campaign and had requested tickets for yesterday’s show but weren’t able to make it, contact us at 250-689-0835 or info@firehallbrewery.com, and we’ll get tickets set aside for you for the next show on August 13th (with Wild Son from Kelowna). There won’t be a Back Alley Concert in July, but there will be a Beer Shop & Social Grand Opening Party in its stead. Stay tuned for more deetes!
