After another break-in at Gyro Park — this time to the facility’s cafe — an effort to better secure the Park is getting a little more attention.
Osoyoos RCMP confirm would-be thieves attempted to access the Gyro Park cafe through a secured window Wednesday evening, an act that was apparently witnessed and reported.
“We do have a possible suspect in mind and we’re following up on that,” said Cpl Jason Bayda. “We’ve got a description and a possible name.
“It looks like the culprits attempted to get into the cash register but were unable to,” he added. “And it doesn’t appear anything is missing.”
The attempted break-in doesn’t sit well with Town of Osoyoos CAO Barry Romanko.
“Everyone involved with the Town is extremely disappointed that the Gyro Park washroom and concession building was vandalized again last night,” he said.
