Be honest….. with two months to go in a hot summer in our desert – is a drought likely.
Aquifers full, rivers running full, lakes swollen, mountain runoff and pond formation exceeding demand.
The warning signs of a drought is when the conditions of water supply are running short when you are restricted in the amount of water you use.
– There are a lot of hot sunny days
– Only a little amount of water has occurred during the month
– Plants trees and grass are starting to turn brown
– Water levels in lakes are low and starts to become an emergency
Last REAL drought on the prairies 2001 and 2002.
