A diagnostic instrument that mysteriously disappeared from Penticton Regional Hospital last month has been returned due to the goodwill of a Penticton Pawn Shop owner.
RCMP had visited Quick N Easy Pawnbrokers last month and showed them a photo of a ‘slit lamp’, the lamp been taken from the emergency ward at PRH.
Tara Gostelow at Interior Health says the missing slit lens have been returned to the hospital by Darren Hafftor. The lens have been sent away for examination prior to being used to ensure it is still in good working order.
