I have once again signed up to participate in the 2016 Ride2Survive. This year however I wont be doing the whole 400kms. As I am signed up to race in Challenge in August I have opted to ride from Kelowna to Hope! I still think most of you will think that Im crazy, but its for such a good cause.
Last year we were able to raise over $600,000 for brain cancer research, which the federal government matched, which really means we raised over $1.2 MILLION for cancer research! How amazing is that?! Just for riding our bikes for a day! To date, Ride2Survive has raised over 4 Million dollars for cancer research. I am honoured to say that I have been able to help raise some of those funds and have been an active participant in one way or another for 4yrs.
The Ride2Survive is the Canadian Cancer Society’s largest Independent Fundraising Event! And I get to be a part of it! And so can you! Help support my fundraising goal of $1500 (although I would really like to get more than that).
We all have been affected by cancer in one form or another or know someone who has. Please take the time today to help support such an amazing cause! Thank you in advance for all your financial and emotional support!
