Knights of Columbus clean up the road. The stretch of Tuc El Nuit road from Buchanan Rd to Hwy 97 is kept clean each year by the Oliver Knights of Columbus.

On Wednesday evening, these 6 hardworking guys, and the photographer, slowly walked the 2 kilometre stretch and picked up 6 large orange garbage bags full of litter. The most common pickups were cigarette packages and coffee cups, but an assortment of other throwaways included an artificial Christmas tree, a 5 pound barbell weight and a full can of Bud Light beer.

Also found, but not bagged, was a nest with at least 30 small California Quail eggs. From left to right, Andre, Joe, Mike, John, Wayne and Jim. Thanks guys!
