Maria Norma Thomas 1931 – 2016

It is with heavy hearts and Joy in Our Lord that we share the passing of our Mom, Norma Thomas.

Norma was born July 31, 1931 in Trail BC and passed peacefully surrounded by loving family on May 1, 2016, in Penticton at the age of 84. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Mike, and many family and friends who have welcomed her Home. She is survived by her seven children; Greig (Sandra), Patti (George), Mike (Kim), Donna, Cathy (Ken), Kevin, Lisa (Mike); 22 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren. Norma is also survived by her sister Antonette, and brothers Rudy and Merne.

Mom served the community compassionately as an RN for 47 years. She served her church faithfully and of course, her family lovingly.

Mom loved spending time with her family most of all, but also loved sewing, quilting, knitting, flowers, music, reading and most recently; bingo, Mexican train, gaming on her IPad and connecting on Facebook, emailing and texting.

Prayers will be held at 7:00 pm Friday May 6th at Christ the King Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday May 7, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Oliver, BC.
