We went up Mount Kobau yesterday, it was 10 degrees at the top and still lots of snow. Testalinda Lake (Testalinden according to the sign) was still frozen and the snow was two to four foot deep in parts.
There was life, new wildflowers, chipmunk building a home, and a cluster of Ladybugs. Came across a cross that had the name Tom Snoek 1928-2002 on it . Also that object where the star party is held. Was it part of a telescope. Some of the burnt out areas still are barren, devoid of life, the only colour was a green beer bottle.

Note for picture below – Tom Snoek moved to the area many decades ago. A Dutchman, raised a family, made many friends, fixed cars for a living. Other can tell of his exploits.
Lots of pictures on this trip – later
