A couple of points in my morning rant
1. the water is flowing off the hills, the river is swollen, the lakes are filled to the brim, the Americans are getting their fair share of our water
2. the hills are green, the orchards are green, even the deserts areas are green and alive
3. we live in a desert it gets dry – every year with summer heat
4. our snowpack is at a record level – high in the mountains of the Okanagan
5. we didn’t have a drought last year and I doubt we will have it this year.
6. we had lightning last year and dry forests ignited – the hills actually needed the fire – the homes below did not.
7. let us not use the “D”* word until we don’t have drinking water, our fields have no moisture, the lake are drying up
Fear. Fear seems to be the game of the media and some “experts”. Remember global warming? Then it was changed to global change. Conditions on earth have changed every year since the big bang ball was invented.
Listen to your gut. Use your eyes.
D word is DROUGHT : a period of dryness especially when prolonged; specifically one that causes extensive damage to crops or prevents their successful growth.
