Now that you are consistent with your exercise routine you can start to think of changing things up a bit. Walking at varied paces & duration is a wonderful option to keep up your regular routine. Adding variety such as squats or lunges at least a couple of times a week while walking will help get your heart pumping & be more fun!
You can also start thinking about doing something completely different one day a week. Either add to your walking on the same day or trade in your walk with strength training (lifting weights or bodyweight exercises) or working on mobility (moving better).
I don’t recommend you start jogging or running (or doing any kind of high impact exercises) if you have any bone related conditions. The high impact could result in injury. Please consult your doctor.
Remember:
Don’t do anything that causes pain!
Do a warm up & cool down/stretch.
Safety first… Quality over quantity!
Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
