Every student in grade six at Oliver Elementary School (OES) goes through the D.A.R.E.* Program
Local RCMP DARE instructor Cst. Kathleen Biron. Three students represented the whole class at today’s graduation from the programme which featured a large cake served after the presentations of certificates and t-shirts by Mayor Ron Hovanes and Detachment commander Sgt. Blaine Gervais.
*D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. This school program is designed to equip grade six students with the life skills to recognize and resist social pressures to experiment with tobacco, alcohol and other drugs
