SEARCHLIGHT on CBC
It all happened the morning after the night before when a page of 40 year old lyrics was produced from a basement drawer and a challenge went out to two free spirited souls to “do something with these, surprise me” he said.
Well Edwin Dukes was not prepared the next day for what transpired. Those lyrics inspired fire and passion into the songwriting and musical talents they were entrusted to. One magical Easter Sunday Morning, the words came to life. A catchy tune, familiar rhythm, and a breath of sun kissed blossoms created the backdrop for what now has become “Pictures Floating In my Eyes” the new video that had over 500 Youtube hits on its first couple of months, just with family and friends.
Ken Repkow and Mikie Spillett attached a huge chunk of their hearts into this song, started with love and completed through friendship. So if you want to be a part of sharing this amazing song, take a listen to it, have a chance to win prizes yourself, and share to give an opportunity to support local talent (our friends, our fans and our future fans) and take it to the next level, here’s what YOU can do to help!!!You will be humming it I guarantee it, if you listen to it all the way through. Thanks for always being there for us!!!
