The fire reached 16 hectares and is currently in the mop up stage – Sunday.

A member of the public discovered the brush fire between 6 and 7 p.m. Saturday evening.

The fire is burning brush, grass and light timber.

15 firefighters brought the expanding fire under control

The fire is believed to be human caused and is currently under investigation.

No structures damaged.
