300 to 400 people at a School Board meeting in Osoyoos – inside and outside on lawn chairs.
Meeting started with a number speakers in the Community Theatre at Osoyoos Secondary.
Trustees got to a vote quickly – a motion to delay any decision – 5 to 2 against. The real motion to close one of two schools – most likely the high school and bus students to Oliver.
More speaking and contemplation on the options given in the staff recommendation January 13th.
ODN has two reporters in the room with a full story promised for 11 pm. We are monitoring the meeting via Periscope and Facebook and will bring you any decision once made.
ODN thanks Roy Wood, Andrew Stuckey, and Brock Jackson for assisting in the coverage.
