Tomorrow we will do an update on fund raising efforts for Mike Watson and wife Lisa – both of whom were operated on in Hong Kong recently to make a successful liver transplant work.
Several Oliver based efforts have raised funds for the cause and we shall report on that and future plans in April.

Watson needed a new liver and made decision to go to Hong Kong for the transplant operation rather than wait in B.C.
Doctors in Canada decided an operation would not be effective.
The cause of Watson’s liver failure is unknown.
Watson and his wife, Lisa Needoba, arrived in Hong Kong Feb. 27.
His wife’s liver was determined to be the best match and part of that was transferred to him March 1.
After the operation Watson said he could sense his new liver working, filtering toxins and helping him feel better.
Lisa has been released from hospital.
Both Mike and Lisa – graduated of SOSS – they live in Kaleden. He is employed in the wine industry in Oliver.
