Esther Dawson

April 8, 1922 – March 12, 2016

It is with sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother on March 12, 2016 in Grand Forks.

Esther was born in Edmonton, Alberta on April 8, 1922 and came with her family to Oliver in May 1926.

She Lived in Oliver for 80 years before moving with her husband of 59 years to Midway in June 2006.

Esther was predeceased by her husband Harold and her brothers Clark and Thomas.

Esther is survived by her daughters Mary (Al) Wills, Peggy (Don) Lindgren, Judy (Rick) Harpur; step-daughter Sheila (Fred) Courtney; her sisters Agnes Sutherland, Evie New and Olive Barrett; her brother David (Jean) Evans; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

A heartfelt thank you to Esther’s many doctors, nurses and staff of the Parkview Manor and the Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks for their care and compassion, her family is very grateful.

A celebration of Esther’s life will be held at the Midway Community Hall on March 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow
