Everyone who is curious about solar panels, energy efficient homes, and the practical aspects of local construction and installation is encouraged to drop in to the all day “Solar Fair” at the Pattison Centre at Penticton’s Okanagan College this Saturday, March 12. Free admission. Come for the whole day , or drop in for any part of this symposium on solar energy.
There will be interesting displays, individual talks by area architects and solar tech installers, tours of the high tech Ok College facilities, a lively “experts” panel discussion, a keynote speaker from the Pembina Institute, and opportunities to talk to folks who have already “gone solar” with their businesses, homes or whole communities.
The event is being presented by First Things First Okanagan, with a wide variety of enthusiastic sponsors on board to create a useful and inspiring experience for all at no cost to the public.
The Solar Fair runs from 8:30 to 4:00 pm, Saturday, March 12, at the OK College, Penticton. For the day’s schedule and more information see the website: okfirstthingsfirst.wordpress.com
