The South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce (SOCC) has elected a new Board of Directors eager to implement their strategic plan which was developed over the weekend. Armed with a new mission statement and many new faces, the lobby organization is eager to get to work.

Oliver business owner Corrie Adolph, has been elected President of the SOCC for 2016.

She brings many years of strategic communication and advocacy experience to the board. “We look forward to earning the respect of  business owners as we work hard to promote an environment where business thrives and business owners feel they have a strong voice,” says Ms. Adolph.

The Chamber board executive also includes Vice-President Douglas Lamb (Osoyoos) who brings many years’ experience as a chamber executive, Treasurer Carmine Maddalena (Osoyoos) who works in the financial services industry, and business woman Sara Amos (Oliver) continues on as Secretary.

Past President Brian Highley (Okanagan Falls), John Powell (Okanagan Falls), Mary Fry (Oliver), Linda Buhler (Oliver), Eileen McGinn (Osoyoos), and Grant Storzuk (Osoyoos) are all business and community leaders with years of experience in the South Okanagan.

Ms. Adolph says, “I am proud to lead such a strong team. We have a bright and talented new Executive Director (Denise Blashko), a new mission statement, and a renewed sense of focus.”
