UPDATE* Cactus Club altercation

Kelowna – Victim succumbs in hospital.

The 30-year-old Ontario man succumbed to his injuries this afternoon in hospital.

RCMP will not be releasing any further information at this time.

A man remains in serious condition in hospital following an altercation outside a restaurant late Wednesday night.

On Wednesday at 8:58 pm, Officers received a request to assist Emergency Health Services who were responding to a report of a man, in medical distress and laying on the sidewalk outside the Cactus Club restaurant located at 1575 Banks Road. The male was unconscious prior to the arrival of emergency crews, who rushed him to hospital where he remains in serious condition.

The Kelowna RCMP are continuing their investigation and are actively following up on leads. Police are seeking witnesses to this altercation, and investigators suspect that there may be additional witnesses, who were at the Cactus Club restaurant at the time of the incident, who have not yet spoken with police.
