Tennis Club and Parks Society comes to terms
In January members of the Oliver Tennis Club requested a reduction in annual fees to $175 from $800. Sam Dimou, new club President asserted that really there should be no fees. The club has 50 members. The club says it would like to promote the sport and hold free introductory clinics this summer.
Manager Carol Sheridan and the Board stated that a $400 fee was as low as they were prepared to go.
Both sides have now signed an MOU for that amount. That MOU gives exclusive use to the Club (16 hours a week) at scheduled times plus hours for tournaments and clinics. The agreement helps maintain a positive relationship and clear outline of expectations from both sides.
