We have just returned from our vacation in South America to winter skies and shorter days. In Santiago, Chile, street vendors had cherries for sale, remember, it is their summer down there. The cherries didn’t look very fresh, brown stems and lots of splits and dings. The price in Chile Peso converts to about two Canadian dollars, not sure what you get for that, or about the measure of El Medio . the vendor speaks Spanish and I speak English, not a good mix, I did buy bananas.The peaches and other produce looked very nice. I also saw grapevines in full leaf enroute to Santiago from Valparaiso
