Debbie Brunelle, of Oliver passed away in Penticton on January 16, 2016.
Debbie was born in Willingdon, Alberta, on May 23, 1957. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Brunelle on October 6, 2013 and her father, Peter Hamaliuk on June 13, 1980.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her mother, Jean and step-father, Lawrence Kuly, her sister, Lonnie Atchison, and her niece, Kelty Atchison and Kelty’s fiancé, Cameron MacEachern.
Debbie is also survived by her stepsons, Les Brunelle and his wife Mary, Shawn Brunelle and his wife Madeline, and 6 step-grandchildren. Debbie will be remembered by her many friends in Oliver for her tireless efforts to improve the quality of life in the community, whether her passion for golf saw her immerse herself in arranging tournaments, a round or two with the ladies, setting up card and pokers nights, or simply dropping whatever she was doing to share a glass of wine with anyone who dropped by.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at Cherry Grove Estates Hall in Oliver, B.C., on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
