Do you have a preference in exercise style?
There are so many to choose from. There are many different forms of cardio. To name a few… swimming, running, dancing & SO much more! And there are many ways to practice strength such as bodyweight, dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells… so many bells!
The four main categories of exercise are strength, endurance, balance & flexibility. We should strive to incorporate all of these into our weekly or bi-weekly schedule.
Do what you enjoy so you will continue to do it. Do you enjoy working out by yourself, with a friend, in a small group or as a team?
How about play? We’ve forgotten how to play. Do you remember the monkey bars? We don’t need to spend any money to get in some exercise & fun. Do you have a dog? Do you walk him/her at least once a day? If not, both of you will be much happier if you get out walking together.
I’m looking forward to spring as I’m sure most of you are. I will be playing at our new outdoor fitness park this year. You are welcome to join me. I’m also interested in playing at the playground(s). Who’s in?
