The Community Foundation of the South Okanagan | Similkameen is hosting free grant writing workshops throughout the South Okanagan | Similkmaeen.
This year the Community Foundation’s annual grant application process has changed and is online.
In this 2-hour seminar you will learn:
- The Do’s and Don’ts of successful grant writing
- How to tell your story so it stands out from the crowd
- What the funders are looking
- Best practices for grant writing
- How to use the Foundation’s new online application process
- How to build your profile and navigate the Community Knowledge Centre
Workshop dates and locations:
January 8th (1-3 p.m.) in Oliver at the Oliver Community Centre
January 14th (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.) in Princeton at the Princeton Museum
January 14th (2 – 4 p.m.) in Keremeos
January 15th (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.) in Penticton at the Shatford Centre
Bonus Hour – There will be an additional hour at the end of each 2-hour workshop to get hands on advice from Foundation staff. Bring your laptop and your questions, and we will do our best to help!

We will be granting $367,000 this year, so we definitely need to get the word out.
