Accident this morning on Hwy 97 south of Lakehill in Kaleden
Truck and car collide on slippery road. Driver of small car pinned in but extricated.
The RCMP South Okanagan Traffic Services attended to another serious highway collision on Hwy 97 this time near Kaleden, early Wednesday morning, December 24, 2015.
At around 07:30 on Wednesday December 24, 2015, the CMP South Okanagan Traffic Services received a report of a two vehicle collision on Hwy 97 north of the Kaleden weigh scales. On attendance investigators examined the scene which involved a blue Ford F150 pick up truck and a grey Honda Civic sedan.

The 25 year old male driver of the Honda Civic was heading southbound when he lost control and spun out into the oncoming northbound Ford F150 pick up truck. The 51 year old male driver of the truck was not seriously injured. The driver of the Honda did sustain life threatening injuries and was airlifted to KGH and remains in critical condition at this time.
Speed relative to conditions is one of the contributing factors in this crash.
