Funding requests – Care facilities at Oliver to be improved

Omnicell Anesthesia Workstation MainRDOS – Hospital District to be asked today to approve capital spending in the amount of $53 million.

Oliver – Sunnybank Centre –  $200 thousand cost with 40 percent of that coming from local taxpayers. The north tub room cannot be used due to space and equipment requirements. Work includes: replacement of tub, installation of barrier free access shower and renos to the room itself

A heat exchanger costing $60 thousand will be replaced at McKinney Place (SOGH). The exchanger if 38 years old and needs to be replaced.

Back to Sunnybank Centre – wireless infrastructure $25 thousand

For equipment over $100 thousand both Penticton Regional and SO General Hospital will see improvements costing 638 thousand dollars for Med stations – infrastructure and equipment replacement. New technology will be used to continue the work of the old system installed in 2006. The systems involve automated dispensing of medication providing safety and efficiency.
