Christmas 2015

As the year ends we’d like to bring you up to date on what Highway to Healing Support Society has been doing. As I am sure you know our mission is to provide funding and information to local families with children who must travel out of the area for medical assistance.

We are supported by local service clubs, grants, donations from individuals, and fund raising. In September we had our first annual “Ride to Provide” bike ride fundraiser and it was a huge success. Thank you to all who came out for the event and we hope to see you participating again in June 2016. The donations we receive from various local organizations are amazing. We are so thankful to live in such a giving community.

Having a child with special medical needs can be not only stressful but costly. We are very pleased that during the past year we have been able to assist six Oliver area families with their travel expenses. It is through the generosity of our supporters that we are able to help these local families. This holiday season you might consider donating in the name of someone you care about. Tell others about Highway to Healing and, remember, donations are tax deductible. The Highway to Healing Board would like to thank you for your kind support in the past and let you know that your generosity is making a difference.
