On Wednesday, School Trustees – District #53 re-elected Chair Marieze Tarr of Osoyoos and Vice Chair Sam Hancheroff of Okanagan Falls.

Two capital items given approval to see improvements in local schools:
1. routine capital item is for building envelope improvements, including disability access at Similkameen Elementary-Secondary School to a maximum expenditure of $436,621 and

2. a sawdust collection system for woodworking at Osoyoos Secondary School to a maximum expenditure of $271,000.
