Who is Mike Bernier?

Mike Bernier was elected MLA for Peace River South on May 14, 2013. On July 15, 2015, Mike was appointed to the post of Minister of Education. Mike served as Mayor of Dawson Creek – being elected Mayor in 2008 and 2011. Bernier has lived in Dawson Creek since 1993 with 20 years of experience in the natural gas industry.

In Oliver for? Bernier invited to visit this area. He spent a full day in Oliver Schools – OES and SOSS. He stated he was impressed with trades training of some elementary students and the brand new high school. Bernier stated as a minister he is touring the province hoping to see as many schools and districts as possible.

Local trustees stated that Bernier was very friendly, affable and looked forward to working with him.
