Meeting started at 10:30 am with lunch brought in an hour later.

2nd grueling 7 hour day of meetings and deliberations – but little decision making.

Here is what I learned ~

Grant in aids approved in principle: BC Winter Games-Penticton $20 Thousand, Healthy Living Society 2/3 of request resulting in $12 thousand, Community Foundation of SOS 2/3 of request down to $10 thousand, AlleyCats Alliance $5000 and Meadowlark Society $2500.

3 major expenses appear to be on their way to approval $50 thousand for a review of the five year old Regional Growth Strategy, $50 thousand for a RDOS Fire Master Plan for 7 smaller rural departments and $40 thousand dollars for preparations for a referendum in the entire region for funding conservation in a major way.
