File # 2015-3343 Chase RCMP
On November 30th, 2015, at approximately 1:20 pm, a man walked into the Royal Bank of Canada branch in Chase, brandished a weapon and demanded money.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the man departed the bank and got into the passenger side of a newer white GMC SUV. The vehicle headed southbound on Chase St. and may have turned onto Hwy 1, however the exact direction of travel is unknown at this time.
The suspect wore a disguise but was described by witnesses as being approximately 5’10” tall and 180-190 lbs.
He was wearing:
• a white hoody with a “Fox” logo on the chest
•a multi-coloured balaclava
•black pants and gloves
•carrying a black fabric grocery-type bag.
The second suspect, believed to be the driver of the SUV was not seen.
No one was injured in this incident, and there were no customers in the bank at the time. If you see, or know of, these suspects, do not approach as they are considered armed and dangerous. 2015-3199
On November 14th, at about 10:00 am, Chase RCMP received a complaint of theft of a purse from a vehicle parked in Scotch Creek. The thief stole credit cards, camera and a cell phone. There were no witnesses. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Chase Detachment.
2015-3181
On November 12th, at about 2:30 pm, Chase RCMP attended a two vehicle collision on Highway 1 in Sorrento. A tractor trailer unit was turning right off the highway, when it was struck from behind by a pick-up truck. There were no injuries, and the driver of the pick-up was investigated for driving while impaired. He was subsequently issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition for 90 days and the pick-up truck was impounded for 30 days. In addition, the driver was given a court date for driving while suspended and a violation ticket for driving without insurance.
